Sweet session at beach 66 with PaulP & Hot Fuzz.

Saw big Mark struggling with 5.7m & his yellow freesex, so went 5.9m Duke on my Hawk 123.

PaulP & Hot Fuzz had gone out on 5.5-5.8m rigs but on smaller boards. As they'd stole a charge on me being local, they were ready and out before I'd got changed. They went off on a downwinder which just confirmed my board choice was hopefully the right one!

Big Mark offered me a lift back from the Sovereign Centre as I was launching, which was comforting, but pretty soon I was up by the Sovereign Sailing Club, upwind of the launch spot. Not long after, the riff raff saw the light and changed up boards and could stay uptide / upwind and were enjoying a summer session in the sun, bumping, jumping & blasting for a good 3 hours or so.

It wasn't Big Wednesday as promised by RichC, but it was a sweet summer session none the less.

I was tempted to go 'backie' on the jump Paul mentioned, but with RichC out with sprained ankle and having seen Jon Harmer on his crutches, the brain cells took over the ejut impulse and I managed to revert to a nice elegant tail first 'plop'
